It's been many years since I hatched and raised triops. I have no idea what a whirlpool water filter is. But if I recall correctly, doesn't the triops kit tell you to use something like bottled spring water? You shouldn't be using a filter at all because newly hatched triops are very small and will get sucked into the filter. What do the instructions
i have never used a filter before. i use bottled water such as volvic. they should still live if you use filtered water as long as there isn't any chlorine in it. the triops should hatch within a day or 2 and you should be able to see them within the next couple of days. if you don't want to just use fish food when they are adults,you can feed them
When I raised triops I just used bottled water because the directions said so. I would not advise using a filter of any kind because the Triops can be very small.
No filters until triops get larger about 10 to 12 days. In the meantime use a very small stream of bubbles from an airstone.
