The trigger for the theme of this fortnight has been an experience that had a colleague at the exit of the Day Coffee Coffee Greater Kailash, New Delhi. When she asked for water, she was refused and said that the RO (reverse osmosis water purifier) the system does not work and therefore it would need to buy bottled water.
When she and her companions stood their ground and insisted that it is their right to be served with drinking water, they got their way. She noted that in another cafe in a shopping center and in breads and a deli in the area of Greater Kailash chic.

Yes!
Tap water in most of Europe is safe to use, and in many places is even tastes good.
But in some countries is does taste a little of the chemicals they use to clean it.
But Europe is big and not everywhere they use the same system.
So ask, locally or on-line about the water in the actual countries/areas you are going.
Drink bottled water, it is perfectly safe to drink the bottled water that the country you are staying in makes so you wouldn't need to bring your own.
I'm English and I never drink our tap water but that is cause mine tastes weird! I don't drink tap water when I go abroad either cause my mum says it can make you ill cause your stomach
I live in southern england and i drink it straight from the tap.
Theres two types of water: hard and soft
Soft is bad as it is processed more and you find in in busy places like London where water has to be costantly recycled and purified. But in the quieter places you get hard water which is more pure as it circulates less populated
