When we say watering hose, the image that comes to our mind is of a flexible tube that is used to carry water from the tap to the desired place. Garden hoses are the best carriers of water to the thirsty plants undoubtedly. But the pipes play a more important role in any household. Just visualize the scene where you want to clean your patio or water the plants and have to carry the water in a bucket. Ugh!! they probably did that on purpose to keep neighbors from stealing water you can gp to a R V store and get the adapter that you need there are several sizes to choose from i took a piece of model ign Cly and put it over some of the threads on the faucet t so i could show them the thread at the home store hope this helps
