I used a Hot Shot a whole bunch of hot water to drink different types of tea and other beverages. If it's just what you're brewing, it really is a great product water is heated in a minute or two, which is much faster than a kettle, and holds the perfect amount for a large cup.
There are a few things to note though. As other reviewers have said, because of product design, some cups high (especially large vacuum cups younger) does not receive water, so either you can not use or having to dispense water into another container first and pour it from there. Also, you probably should empty the excess water after you're done, you could even open the cover while it is still warm to allow extra moisture to evaporate. This is because the inside is metal, and re-re-heated water that was sitting there getting a little crude and may not be the healthiest....

I can't find anything that gives a temperature. All water heaters of this type boil the water before it is dispensed. The water is below the boiling point as it comes out, but the exact temperature could vary by several degrees. An educated guess would be from 210 ° down to 160 ° F, depending on the pot.
